18th Century Oil Painting

This lovely and atmospheric oil painting is believed to be 18th century and looks very much of the style of Scottish artists working at this time.

The artist is unknown - there is a possible signature at the bottom left, but it's illegible.

Oil on canvas board with a lovely dark wood frame rimmed with gold.
