An Art Nouveau brass vase, circa 1900, featuring a planished and hammered surface. The body is decorated in repoussé and relief with swallows and birds amidst stylized lotus motifs, flanked by twin handles.

Length 23 cm · Width 23 cm · Height 38 cm

While the specific maker of this piece remains unidentified, hand-hammered repoussé metalwork is characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement around the turn of the twentieth century. During this era, workshops across Europe embraced organic forms, stylized flora, and natural motifs, prioritizing handcrafted surface textures over industrial mass production. Unattributed decorative brassware from this period remains sought after by collectors for its expressive craftsmanship and distinctive embodiment of early modern design.

Good but with some indents, as you may expect, shown in the photographs.
