A ceramic vase from the Tri series designed in 1963 by Ingrid Atterberg and made by Swedish Upsala Ekeby. Model number 2673.
Ingrid Upsala (1920-2008) was a ceramic artist who worked for Upsala Ekeby from the 40's through to the 60's and is said to be one of the prominent designers to define mid-century Scandinavian design.
The Tri series, of 1963, comprised of 14 earthenware bowls, candleholders, dishes, and vases. They are of quadratic form and have incised geometric decoration, and polychrome glaze. The items are stamped on the lower side with UE, Sweden, Abg, and the model number. The series was manufactured until 1967.
