Dr. Christopher Dresser was a pivotal British designer and a pioneer of modern industrial design. Active during the second half of the 19th century, he rejected contemporary historical revivalism in favor of radical, functional forms influenced by botany, geometry, and Japanese aesthetics. Dresser collaborated with leading British manufacturers across metalwork, ceramics, and glass. Today, he is celebrated for a visionary, minimalist approach that anticipated 20th-century modernism, making his designs highly sought after by collectors.
