A stoneware seed vessel by the ceramic artist Alan Wallwork (1931 - 2019). Made circa 1980s.
Alan Wallwork studied at Goldsmiths and eventually went on to share a studio with another influential artist Bernard Rooke in 1960. Eventually Allan left London and moved to Dorset where he became influenced by the surrounding nature and produced many tactile works such as seeds, pebbles and crescents. He exhibited widely and his work was sold through many prestigious retailers, such as Heals and the Design Council, meaning his work can be found in many important private collections around the world.
