This beautiful glass jug set with stirrer and tumblers was designed by legendary Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva (1926–2006) for the renowned glassworks Iittala. Known for his innovative approach to form and function, Sarpaneva played a key role in elevating Finnish design to global prominence during the mid-20th century, winning multiple international awards for his glassware, textiles, and industrial designs.
Iittala, founded in 1881 in Finland, is celebrated for its timeless Scandinavian design philosophy—combining beauty, practicality, and craftsmanship. Collaborations with designers like Sarpaneva have resulted in some of the most iconic glassware of the modern era.
Crafted in Finland, this vintage jug features Sarpaneva’s signature clean lines and ergonomic elegance, accompanied by a matching glass stirrer and beakers. These attractive pieces match function with a great Scandinavian decorative style.
This particular set was designed circa 1956 as part of the I-114 series (I Glass) and produced through the 60s and into the 70s.
